Former President Donald Trump said earlier this week that Melania Trump was so disturbed by him that he was unable to talk about it.
In an interview on Monday, he told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that Melania was “watching live” when the incident happened and is now unable to really discuss it with anyone.
“He was watching live. He really can’t even talk about it, which is okay. It means I like him. He loves me.” “When I came down, she thought the worst had happened,” the 45th president said of Melania’s immediate reaction.
Ronald Rowe took over as acting Secret Service director last week, succeeding Kimberly Cheatle, who resigned after House hearings in which she faced intense questioning and struggled to resolve the specific communications failures that led to the July 13 shooting.
